May 5, 2018
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join the City of Ellsworth and Frenchman Bay Conservancy for the annual Card Brook cleanup event. Card Brook runs under High Street (past Pizza Hut and other businesses) and into the Union River. Because of its location, Card Brook collects large amounts of trash, pollution that ends up littering the Union River and is eventually carried out to sea.
Volunteers will be entered for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses!
Participants should meet at the parking lot on the west side of Hannaford grocery store at 225 High Street (the right side when facing the front of the store). Wear sturdy footwear that can get wet and muddy, and bring work gloves. Trash bags will be given to volunteers.
For more information or to RSVP, call 669-6615 or email firstname.lastname@example.org (rain date: May 12)
