Anyone can be a citizen scientist! Frenchman Bay Conservancy and Schoodic Institute need people interested in local plants who want to help researchers understand the effects of climate change. Half-day (9am to 1pm) Wednesday trainings at the Schoodic Institute run from July through August and will teach you how to identify plants and enter data. To learn more or register for a training, visit https://www.schoodicinstitute.org/about/project-phtom/

FBC is developing their phenology trail at Baker Hill Preserve in Sullivan for local citizens to monitor during their hikes and discover more about how the times that plants bloom and fruit is changing overtime. For more information about this new program in partnership with Schoodic Institute, email austin@frenchmanbay.org or visit the Schoodic Institute’s website.
