September 29, 2017 - October 1, 2017
This year, in celebration of Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, Frenchman Bay Conservancy and the Lamoine Conservation Commission invite you to take a self-guided tree identification hike at Simon Trail in Lamoine! Trees are numbered along the trail and simple tree identification guide/worksheets will be available at the trail head mailbox to guide you in tree identification as you hike. Geared towards kids, but fun for ALL ages! A great opportunity to learn your trees or brush up on your botanical knowledge!
The tree identification hike will be available any time on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 during daylight hours. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 207-422-2328 with questions.
Once you’ve completed the tree identification worksheet, you can verify your choices using the Tree ID KEY.
The Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, organized by the Maine Outdoor Coalition, is a series of events led by outdoor oriented organizations and companies to celebrate the how, where, and what of being active outside in Maine. The goal is to connect our friends and neighbors with the natural world, to promote fun, physical activity, & good health.
