Trail Map (Link)
This property’s 1.5 miles of trail follows primarily gentle, easy slopes. However, the trail does include steeper slopes along Seal Point Road at the north and south ends of the lot and in the center of the lot.
This 50-acre parcel was generously donated to the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine (SWOAM) in July 2005 by members Doug and Bev Coleman. By donating their land, Doug and Bev provided a demonstration working woodlot that employs sustainable forestry practices. In 1990, Doug and Bev donated a conservation easement on the property to the Frenchman Bay Conservancy. To this day, the easement allows for sustainable forestry, including timber harvesting.
Public access includes following uses: hiking, hunting, nature walks, and snowmobiling. For more information about Coleman Mixed Woods, please visit the site’s SWOAM property page.
