Celebrate Great Maine Outdoor Week
Frenchman Bay Conservancy is hosting two events in conjunction with Great Maine Outdoor Week and other local partners: a snowshoe at Woodlawn Museum Trails in Ellsworth and a snowshoe on the Simon Trail in Lamoine. Read more in the Ellsworth American.
Woodlawn Snowshoe – February 10, 8:00am to 12:00pm
Join Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Woodlawn, & Ellsworth Green Plan partners and get outdoors in celebration of Great Maine Outdoor Weekend and the Ellsworth Winter Carnival! A limited number of snowshoes will be available, free of charge, on a first come first served basis. Other Winter Carnival activities happening concurrently at Woodlawn include: cardboard sled races at 10:00, snowmobile sleigh rides at the Woodlawn Museum, and a food truck serving up treats and hot beverages.
Simon Trail Snowshoe (Postponed) – February 18, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Join Frenchman Bay Conservancy and friends for a free winter snowshoe or hike at Simon Trail in Lamoine in celebration of Great Maine Outdoor Week!
Cancellation date in effect: The Simon Trail Snowshoe is rescheduled for Sunday, February 18 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Check FBC’s Facebook page for updates.
