Frenchman Bay Conservancy is a membership-based organization of more than 900 community members and supporters working together to conserve the unique character of the Downeast Maine landscape, where the quintessential Maine north woods meets the breathtaking rocky coastline.

The Frenchman Bay and Union River watersheds contain incredible opportunities to conserve some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country along with the ecological diversity they support, while also sustaining local economies, community health, and endless educational possibilities.

Memberships and donations are used for land acquisition and conservation easements, stewardship efforts to maintain and monitor preserves and easements forever, and community engagement such as group hikes, educational programs, and workshops. Members receive our new Trail Guide, which includes a map and directions to all FBC trails, copies of our bi-annual print newsletter, a copy of our annual report, and invitations to a variety of programs and events.
