Native Pollinator Garden Workshop: Seed-Saving
Join FBC for a Native Pollinator Workshop at Tidal Falls Preserve in Hancock!
You’re invited to join Lauren Landers, FBC volunteer and Maine Master Gardener, for a workshop at the Tidal Falls Preserve native pollinator garden. The workshop will involve:
- Native pollinator plant identification;
- Basics of creating your own pollinator garden;
- And tips for how you can help pollinators, wildlife, (and your garden!) thrive through the winter months.
Whether you want to help bees or simply attract beneficial insects for a healthier vegetable garden, this talk will teach you what you need to know! Following the presentations, Lauren will guide interested participants in harvesting and saving seeds from the Tidal Falls garden.
The workshop will be approximately 1-hour in length, with time for Q&A afterwards, so bring your pollinator ponderings. Interested participants will receive native milkweed seeds and planting instructions.
This workshop is limited to 12 registrants, so please sign up early! All participants must register individually.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Jane Parlee at jane@frenchmanbay.org.
To keep our staff, volunteers, and other program participants safe, please stay home if you have any symptoms consistent with cold. Thank you!
