Ellsworth Riverwalk: Grand Opening Community Celebration!
Join us on Thursday, October 13 at 4:00 PM for the Ellsworth Riverwalk Grand Opening!
Join FBC and our community partners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ellsworth Riverwalk, located behind the Ellsworth Public Library on State Street.
Over the summer, thanks to community support, we were able to rehabilitate the short path that was first carved out in the 1960s by junior high school students, a Boy Scout troop, and the Ellsworth Rotary. Now, it’s a sustainable trail with improved access! Hear from the community leaders that helped make this initiative possible, and enjoy the updated, accessible path that allows residents and visitors alike to experience the beauty and wildlife of the river. The tree-lined path is only a short walk from Main Street.
Afterwards, join us at the Fogtown Brewing Company beer garden for an Ellsworth Riverwalk Celebration & Benefit! Proceeds from beer garden sales will benefit FBC.
***Parking*** The trailhead is behind the Ellsworth Public Library. There is limited parking at the library. There is additional parking at the Municipal Lot at Ellsworth City Hall, just a quick walk from the trailhead!
Community partners include Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Heart of Ellsworth, Ellsworth Garden Club, Green Ellsworth, and the City of Ellsworth.
