FBC Annual Meeting 2023 with Keynote Speaker: Enock Glidden
You are invited to join us for our 2023 Annual Meeting on August 21 at the Ellsworth High School Performing Arts Center in Ellsworth, ME.
Join us for an evening celebrating another year of protecting the land you love! We’ve had many exciting developments since we gathered for last year’s Annual Meeting at the Schoodic Institute, including the grand opening of the Ellsworth Riverwalk, conservation of over 3,200+ acres in the upper Union River watershed, protection of critical harvester access in Frenchman Bay region, and more! Thank you to our dedicated membership for their support, and we can’t wait to share these accomplishments with you, along with future land protection plans.
Our keynote address will be given by Enock Glidden. An avid and accomplished outdoorsman, Enock can be found adventuring every season of the year throughout his home state of Maine. Born with Spina Bifida, Enock Glidden is a disabled athlete, adventurer, motivational speaker, and an advocate for others with disabilities. Enock is a passionate advocate for making trails more accessible for all. He hikes extensively, assessing and writing about his experiences through the award-winning Maine Trail Finder website. His blogs and experiences have been shared widely in local, state, and national media outlets, and Maine Magazine named him one of their Mainers of the Year in 2022. His life’s mission to speak to anyone and everyone about never saying I can’t and instead always asking: How can I? Enock’s talk will focus on how land trusts can make their trail systems more accessible, and play a role in providing outdoor access for all.
To help prepare for the evening, we are encouraging all of our guests to register below. Thank you!
