Regular group hikes are a great way to make friends, build community, and spend more in nature.

FBC is starting a new hiking club with just that purpose – to create more regular opportunities for our friends and neighbors to explore the land we help protect together. Over the past month we’ve been collecting feedback from interested individuals, and now we’re ready to announce the first hike of the series! Hikes will be held on Thursdays at 9:30 AM.

Join FBC volunteers on a hike at Schoodic Bog Preserve in Sullivan on Thursday, October 3rd. Hikers should meet at the trailhead at 9:30 AM and be prepared with weather-appropriate attire, hiking shoes, water, and a hiking snack if desired. The hikes each week will vary in length, but this Schoodic Bog loop will be approximately 4 miles and take 2-3 hours (including any breaks or snack/water stops.)

If a hike is cancelled due to weather, that will be posted on this event page and on our social media.
