Guided Birding Walk at Jordan River Preserve

Maine Audubon naturalists and special guests will lead monthly walks at Frenchman Bay Conservancy’s Jordan River Preserve in Trenton.

The Jordan River Preserve protects 186 acres with more than a mile of shoreline, valuable tidal salt marshes, and nesting habitat for many bird species including Bobolinks and Cliff Swallows. The property includes open fields, forested areas, and tidal mud flats.

With many resident bird species defending territories and looking for mates, June is a great time to meet Maine’s resident avifauna. Birding by sight and by ear, this program is accessible for beginners but provides learning opportunities for the more experienced birder as well.
