Party for the Preserve

Join FBC at Fogtown Brewing Company in Ellsworth on Monday, October 6th to help us protect 5,700 acres in Amherst!

Frenchman Bay Conservancy has a unique opportunity to conserve more than 5700 acres of forest and wetlands crucial to the health of the woods and waters of eastern Hancock County. The future Headwater Bluffs Preserve, in the town of Amherst, is home to the headwaters of the Union River – a lifeline that runs all the way through the City of Ellsworth. Together – we can protect the vast, unbroken forests along the Upper Union River that are critical to our fight against climate change. Together – we can protect our local water supplies used for drinking water, fishing and recreation. And, together we can protect the habitats of iconic Maine species like moose and the great blue heron.
