Intertidal Exploration at Tidal Falls

You’re invited to join FBC at Tidal Falls to explore tide pools!

Join Maine Master Naturalist, Kelly Lunt to learn about the intertidal zone and discover some of the organisms that are found there. The intertidal zone is a unique ecosystem filled with organisms able to survive differences in water temperature, salinity and pH with each changing tide.

Kelly Lunt grew up in Ellsworth and spent much of her childhood on the coast of Maine exploring, beachcombing and learning about the different organisms that call this area home.

Join us and connect with your community members, learn something new about the land we love, and find what’s living beyond the tidal zone. This event is free and open to the public, all are welcome.

Participants should bring: Sturdy / waterproof shoes, cool layers for August weather, a possible change of clothes, sunscreen, visor / hat for sun protection.

*Registration for this event is required*
