Moss Walk

Join us for a community walk at Baker Hill to discuss mosses with Maine Master Naturalists!

Experience the magic of lush mosses in the coastal forest of Baker Hill Preserve on a walk less than 0.20 mile from the parking lot.  We’ll explore the mosses’ favorite places to thrive on soil, rocks, trees, and downed logs; and you’ll learn the names of a few new friends.  Led by two Maine Master Naturalists, Ellen Gellerstedt and Alice Noyes.

Participants should wear / bring: plenty of water, sturdy shoes for hiking, layers for October weather, trekking poles if needed for extra balance.
