Movement for Meals Walk with Hancock County Food Drive
Join FBC and Hancock County Food Drive to walk for Movement for Meals!
This April we are getting out on the trails to raise funds for Hancock County food pantries, soup kitchens, and school backpack programs. On April 19th, at 10:00am, join FBC, Hancock County Food Drive and Healthy Acadia for a group walk at the Frenchman Bay Community Forest.
The Hancock County Food Drive is raising funds for local food assistance programs through Movement for Meals: a movement challenge that can be done from any location you choose, in any way that is comfortable (walking, hiking, swimming etc). Sign up, collect pledges, and help build food security with every minute of activity you log between April 1-30, 2025!
Participants joining FBC for our walk on April 19th should sign up for the Movement for Meals program and work to collect pledges through your activity on our walk! Join us for our walk and help in build food security in Hancock County during a time of year when it’s needed most!
Participants should register online anytime before the end of April and recruit donations for every intentional minute of physical activity exerted on our group walk, or in your own time. Visit Hancock County Food Drive: Movement for Meals to sign up.
Participants should consider bringing: Water, warm layers, appropriate footwear (Waterproof if muddy or snowy), and tic / bug repellent.
