“The Buzz on Native Plants” Film Screening

Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Native Gardens of Blue Hill, and the Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District are proud to present a screening of “The Buzz on Native Plants” at the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth.

In this new film by award-winning editor and independent documentary filmmaker Tara Roberts Zabriskie, be inspired by the story of how a few passionate Maine residences are using native plants to make a difference in how climate change is affecting their communities. Frenchman Bay Conservancy and Native Gardens of Blue Hill are featured in the film.

See how a few small acts of planting with native plants can create habitat for wildlife and make a huge difference in preventing flooding, erosion, and drought. Through this film, you’ll witness what kind of difference can we all make in our own back yard. The goal of the film is to raise awareness about the importance of biodiverse native ecosystems in our ever changing climate.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A panel with native plant experts to help answer your native plant garden questions.
