Discover Nature Hike at Taft Point Preserve

Join FBC for a family-friendly nature hike and activity at Taft Point!

Come along with Maine Master Naturalist, Alice Noyes, in an 1.3 mile walk on the Jones Cove and Flanders Bay Trails. We’ll explore how the area is home to a forest thick with large trees and underlying mosses;  a lowland with ferns and shrubs; and the shoreland zone which hosts periwinkles, mussels, seaweeds and more. We’ll hunt for clues and complete a game matching animals and plants to their habitats.

Join us and connect with your community members, learn something new about the land we love, and explore the natural world. This event is free and open to the public, all are welcome.
