Nature Journaling in the Intertidal Zone
Explore the tides and journal your findings!
Join FBC and Maine Master Naturalist, Karen O. Zimmerman, at Tidal Falls Preserve to explore the intertidal zone and journal our findings along the way. Nature journaling provides an opportunity for closer observation and a richer connection with the natural world. It encourages mindfulness, creativity, a sense of place, and has been proved to release stress.
Registration for this event is required and limited, please sign up early. All participants must register separately.
What to expect: This workshop has a duration of 2 hours and includes navigating uneven rocky coastline. Notebooks and pens will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own supplies if they’d like.
What to bring: plenty of water, sturdy shoes that can get wet, sunscreen or a sun visor to protect from the sun. Consider bringing a walking stick / trekking pole for balance.
