Forest Bathing with Shep Erhart

Reconnect to nature and your five senses with a slow facilitated walk at Taft Point Preserve in Gouldsboro.

Join Shep Erhart, a certified Forest Therapy Guide, and Frenchman Bay Conservancy for a Forest Bathing exercise at Taft Point Preserve. Forest Bathing is a traditional Japanese practice of spending time in nature and is beneficial to all ages and abilities.

Forest Bathing is not simply a hike, but a slow walk through nature where you focus on taking in the forest environment with your senses. It’s been proven to calm the mind and nervous system, lower blood pressure and stress hormones.

Join FBC and Shep Erhart on this 2 hour relaxing and restorative exercise on Monday, September 23rd from 3pm – 5pm.

This hike is limited to 15 registrants, so please sign up early! All participants must register individually.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Jane Parlee at jane@frenchmanbay.org.

To keep our staff, volunteers, and other program participants safe, please stay home if you have any symptoms consistent with cold. Thank you!
